Coconut Macaroons FTW!…Or is it?

Mel-*As @Epic_Yoda plays in the living room, I decide today is a good day to make cookies. It’s been a while and I figured what the hell. I go into the kitchen, grabbing a mixing bowl out of the cupboard then stops* Hmm…what kind should I make *I grab my book of recipes flipping through the pages seeing what catches my attention. That’s when I saw them and my mouth began to water* Macaroons. Mmmm. Yup! Those are the cookie of choice today! *giggles as I begin to grab all the ingredients I would need. I add everything into the bowl, then I crack the egg open and start separating it. Suddenly, I became very nocuous. I immediately bring my hand to my mouth and close my eyes, slowly breathing through my nose and slowly letting it out through my mouth into my hand, thinking to myself “please don’t throw up. Please don’t throw up.” Finally it passes and I let my hand down* Dear God. That sucked. Stupid raw egg smell. I place the egg white into the egg white into the bowl and mix it around quickly before I feel I can smell it again* Phew! That’s better *laughs and shakes my head at the situation. I’ve always hated the raw egg smell, but it’s never effected me in that way before. I shrug it off and go back to making the macaroons, adding the last ingredient, coconut. As I add it in, my mouth begins to water* Mmm…coconut. I love coconut. *I give everything one last mix and start rolling out the little macaroon balls onto my cookie sheet, reaching over and preheating the oven* *after a little while, the oven is preheated and I finish rolling out all the macaroons onto a cookie sheet, I place them into the oven and set the timer,wiping my hands together with a smile* There! Now we wait *goes into the living room and sits on the floor with @Epic_Yoda 

Chance-[sneaky grins and then goes back into the shadows cause I have to work]

Mel-*giggles* I see you sneakily sneaking around there, Pea *giggles*

Chance-I did nothing. [chuckles]

Mel-*raises a brow* Mhmm *snorts*

Chance-Well, other than potentially knock you up. I say that in the most respectful way. [laughs] And even then…I shared that responsibility with my husband. [laughs]

Mel-#TurkeyBastingFTW *laughs my ass off*

SL continues…

*hears the timer go off for the cookies, I get up off the floor, walk into the kitchen and shut off the annoying beep* Mmmmmm. Cookies places an oven mitt on and reaches in, grabbing out the cookie tray, setting them on top of the stove, grabbing a spatula and begins to put the cookies on the cooling rack* OMG! I can’t wait to try one! *passes one over to @Epic_Yoda and then grabs one for myself* Be careful, Bud. They may be hot cause they’re fresh out of the oven *after the cookies cool down, I place them all into boxes to send off to the family* http://tmblr.co/ZT1S6vlZz8mZ

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, MEL!

Chance-[grabs @PlayingMyWay’s hand as we pull up to @PetticoatMel’s, grinning] Ready to show the Baby Mama some love? [chuckles before I get out of the car,grabbing the gift I had for @PetticoatMel and meeting @PlayingMyWay on the other side] She’s not got much time, baby. [leads @PlayingMyWay up to @PetticoatMel’s door, holding my box of goodies]

Konnor- -grins and squeezes @AllegedlyChance hand before getting out, grabbing my gift for @PetticoatMel- Im more than ready. -walks to he door with @AllegedlyChance, excited to show @PetticoatMel our thanks and shower her on Mother’s Day-

Mel-*thinks I hear somebody outside, I get up and realize @AllegedlyChance and @PlayingMyWay are coming up the driveway. Smiling, I meet them At the door* hey guys! *smiles wide and gives @AllegedlyChance and @PlayingMyWay super squishy mel mel hugs* what brings you here?

Mel-*squees as @AllegedlyChance hands me the box and gasps when I see the chocolate strawberries* oh you know me well *laughs*

Chance-[squeezes @PlayingMyWay’s hand and grins @PetticoatMel] And that sometimes, single mom’s don’t get the recognition they deserve. You are truly a great friend, and an amazing woman and mother. [grins]

Konnor- -smiles as @AllegedlyChance speaks, nodding- Exactly. You’re amazing, @PetticoatMel, and we wanted to let you know. We both love you You’ve been an amazing friend and giving us the biggest gift, @PetticoatMel. So thank you. -hugs you once more-
